Nudibranch

Nudibranch or "nudi's for short are like underwater sea slugs. Their name is derived from their unique body type, Nudi for Naked and Branch (short for the greek branchi) for Gill. Nudibranchs have their gills (their lungs) on their back. In my artwork, the gills are plume gills.  There are many different shapes and sizes and colours of nudibranchs world wide with 2000 species discovered and new ones being identified everyday.
